4 WEEKLY 1½ HOUR CLASSES

$100 with option to renew

Copying paintings of the great masters has long been utilized to learn composition, color, and technique. Many museums and universities encourage this practice. By painting a replica, students can emulate their favorite artists and better understand how a great painting was achieved. The knowledge of technique that is gained can be a valuable learning experience. Students bring to class a printed reference photo of a painting by another artist they would like to recreate. Email your ideas to the instructor in advance so you can be advised on the best image to start with. Paint with acrylic, oil, watercolor, or gouache. Students purchase their own supplies. Supply list will be provided.

Once the student has completed their first 4 lessons, they have the option to renew 4 classes at a time on a continual basis. Each student goes at their own pace. Depending on the project, some may finish in 4 lessons while others may need to renew additional sets of classes to finish. Many students like to complete one project, then begin another.
